It was a crowded night at the Staff and Bear on the 27th September, with more than 50 people gathering for the official opening of the Energy and Environment Club. It was not only a large group, but an incredibly diverse one: Alumni and friends, current participants of the Executive Master in Energy Management, staff from the Energy Management Centre, plus academics and professionals from the banking, consulting & advisory, private equity, utilities, energy and environmental services industries. All these people gathered last Thursday to share their enthusiasm for and professional projects relating to energy and environmental issues.
The Energy and Environment Club, whose aim is to provide a platform to serve ESCP's Alumni and friends, plans to host a range of similar events in the future, such as debates, discussions and fairs. The Club's objective is to enhance the career prospects of its members, generate ideas, and spread updates about the developments within the Energy & Environment industry. This Club should be a means to promote the talents of the ESCP Alumni, as well as improving the visibility of our Energy & Environment community through events and media. We very much hope that Club members will use this organisation to their advantage; to find a sense of community and become regular active participants in future gatherings.
