EMC Advisory Board member and ESCP Business School Associate Professor Michael Jefferson has published his paper Closing the gap between energy research and modelling, the social sciences, and modern realities, in the 4 September 2014 edition of the Elsevier journal Energy Research & Social Science. The paper originated in a talk given by Jefferson in the 53rd EWGCFM Meeting & 2nd International Conference of the EMC.
Further to this, his review of The Essence of Scenarios: Learning from the Shell Experience by Angela Wilkinson and Roland Kupers has just been published in another Elsevier journal, Technological Forecasting & Social Change. Michael was a member of Shell's scenario team during his time there as Group Chief Economist.
Jefferson has just completed another paper, this time entitled There's nothing much new under the Sun: the challenges of exploiting and using energy and other resources through history. The paper was commissioned for a special issue of the Elsevier journal Energy Policy, of which Michael is a former editor. He is now on their International Advisory Board.
His next project is a book named Global Energy Challenges of the 21st Century, commissioned by Springer. In 2015, his work on renewable energy will be presented for discussion in a report for the World Federation of Scientists.
