The meeting was organised by the Greek Energy Forum with the support of The Energy Management Centre (EMC) at ESCP and led by Mr. Nicos Kouyialis, Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, Republic of Cyprus. It took place on 13th February at ESCP's London campus.
The event brought together Government representatives, leading academics and energy professionals. It was hosted by Dr. Kostas Andriosopoulos (Assistant Professor; Executive Director of the EMC, ESCP Business School) and guest commentator Anthony Livanios (CEO, Energy Stream CMG GmbH).
We were honoured by the attendance of the following distinguished guests: Euripides L Evriviades, High Commissioner for the Republic of Cyprus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain; H.E. Konstantinos Bikas, Ambassador of Greece in the UK; Mr Antonios Katepodis, First Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs, Embassy of Greece; and Prof. Dinos Arcoumanis, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, City University London and Ambassador-at-Large of the Hellenic Republic for Energy Policy and New Technologies.
Attendees discussed the latest on the discovery of Hydrocarbons in the Eastern Mediterranean region, looking at the challenges presented and the opportunities available therein.
Dr. Patrick Gougeon (Director of ESCP's London campus and the EMC) thanked Minister Nicos Kouyialis, his fellow distinguished guests and the event's audience for sharing key insights in a fascinating debate.
