We are pleased to announce that students of the Executive Master in Energy Management (EMEM) will participate in their annual study trip to Washington, DC & Houston, TX from 30th May – 4th June, 2016. The international seminar is co-organised with the Energy Management Centre and Energy Stream CMG.
The programme includes several lectures on topics about the U.S. power system such as:
- Challenges of the American oil independent producers and the low oil prices
- Innovation of new technologies in the renewable energy sector
- American energy market: New technological innovation on battery storage, hydrogen fuel, and plasma
- U.S. energy diplomacy in the shale gas era
- Shale gas development and the low energy prices
- U.S. LNG Exports and the impact on the global gas markets: Focus on Europe and Asia
- The Texas energy industry
- Wind and solar Energy
- Tight oil production and low oil prices
- Natural gas infrastructure and LNG
Speakers include senior representatives from: Halliburton, Atlantic Council, U.S. Department of Energy, Hudson Institute, U.S. Department of State, Center for Strategic and International Studies, American Gas Association, Natural Gas Supply Association, Chesapeake Energy, Center of LNG, Cheniere Energy, and Hart Energy.
The seminar also includes a site visit to Cheniere Liquefaction Plant Sabine Pass.
