ESCP, the World's First Business School (est. 1819), has been announced as one of the ten best in Europe in the 2012 Financial Times European Business School rankings.

After a successful year which saw the School's Master in Management placed 2nd worldwide and its Executive MBA ranked in the top five worldwide for its career progression opportunities, international course experience and international student body, ESCP Europe is proud to finish 2012 with such a prestigious achievement.

In addition to the overall ranking, this places ESCP 2nd in the UK. The School is ranked well ahead of big name rivals University of Oxford: Saïd, Warwick Business School, City University: Cass, Cranfield School of Management, Imperial College Business School and LSE, thereby cementing its position as one of the best providers of cross-cultural business and management education in the United Kingdom.

ESCP also becomes the highest ranking business school in Germany and Italy.

Professor Patrick Gougeon, Director of ESCP's London campus, said: "These figures establish us as a key international, cross-border player with top four positions in five countries. This is great news ahead of 2013, during which we celebrate our 40th anniversary as a multi-campus provider of postgraduate business education."

The new Dean of ESCP, Professor Edouard Husson, was interviewed by the Financial Times for both their special edition rankings magazine and for their coverage online.

With five European campuses (Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid and Turin), ESCP is one of the few of its kind worldwide to be triple accredited by EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB. The School welcomes 4,000 students from 90 different nationalities for its postgraduate master programmes, plus an additional 5,000 high level participants for customised training programmes and executive education each year.

In addition, ESCP's London campus has established itself as a centre of excellence and thought leadership in Creativity Marketing and Energy Management, with new centres and associated degree courses launching in 2012.
