ESCP Business School and its Energy Management Centre (EMC) will attend the Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry' Annual Conference on 13th November, 2015. The School and Centre will be represented by its Faculty and staff members.
Taking place in London and organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the UK, this year’s theme is 2015 – Beyond Expo: Innovative and Sustainable Approaches to Health, Energy and the Environment. Health, energy and environment are three sectors that impact on our daily life. Their handling constitutes a major feat. They are subtly interwoven, and a successful long-term management of their risks would possibly profit from resilience. To this end, a holistic approach that merges ethical, economic, social, industrial and scientific aspects could prove instrumental.
This meeting represents the Chamber's most important event. It was first held in 1981. Over the years it has become a significant colloquium in its own right and an obligatory date on the calendar of anyone dealing with Italy and the UK. The conference will bring together senior bankers, economists, lawyers and decision makers from Italy and the UK involved in a wide spectrum of business activities between the two countries. Speakers and Guests of Honour are of the highest level and have included Government ministers and representatives of both countries.
Key Speakers include:
- Prof. Romano Prodi (Italian Prime Minister 1996-1998/2006-2008)
- Prof. Sir David King, Foreign Secretary’s Special Representative for Climate Change
- Tricia Kennerley, VP Director of International Public Affairs, Walgreens Boots Alliance
- Diana Bracco, President, EXPO 2015
Prof. Robert Leonardi, Visiting Professor at LUISS Guido Carli University,Rome and Tony Barber, European Editor, Financial Times, will chair the Conference.
The current Italian Ambassador, H.E. Pasquale Terracciano, will be the Honorary President of the Conference. The finalised list of speakers will be published shortly on the ICCIUK’s website.
The Conference is followed by a formal luncheon, and other receptions and dinners are usually held in honour of the participants.
