Dr Lorna A. Greening and Professor Michael Jefferson were introduced as the new Editors of journal Energy Policy last April.
Greening and Jefferson take over from Ms. Nicky France, who stepped down in June after nearly twenty-five years as Editor. With the support of the International Advisory Board, the new Editors aim to build and expand the strong foundations created by Ms France.
Energy Policy benefits from a broad outreach in the global energy field with over two million downloads per annum.
Dr Lorna A. Greening is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. A member of the board since 2006, Lorna has been an active reviewer and editorial advisor for the journal for several years. She has a BS from the University of Michigan, and later received a doctorate in economics from the Colorado School of Mines. She has well over thirty years of experience in the energy sector, including work in academia, research, consulting, public utilities, and industry.
Professor Michael Jefferson is based in Bedfordshire, UK. Michael is Affiliate Professor at ESCP Business School, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Buckingham. He studied at University College, Oxford and the London School of Economics, and worked for many years at Shell. Later he was Deputy Secretary-General of the World Energy Council, and also has worked with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change as a lead and contributing author, editorial reviewer, and expert reviewer.
