ESCP Business School's first cohort of 29 MSc in Energy Management and its fourth cohort of 15 Executive Master in Energy Management 2013/14 graduated together on the 20th March 2015 at the beautiful Royal Society in central London.
There were speeches by ESCP Dean Prof. Dr. Frank Bournois (on video), UK Director, Prof. Chris Halliburton, followed by the Directors of the Energy Management Centre (EMC): Prof. Dr. Patrick Gougeon and Dr. Kostas Andriosopoulos, academic director of the programmes.
The keynote speech was given by Mr. Eric Descortieux, Chief Financial Officer at Perenco and ESCP Master in Management alumnus, 1988. Mr Descortieux spoke with great passion about his industry, his career and his warmth towards ESCP, which prepared him for the challenges he faced on his route to the top. This included changing industry and working in many countries, including the US, Guatemala and Colombia.
It was then time to focus on the full-time Master in Energy Management programme. About to graduate, student Benjamin Pullen gave a short, entertaining speech, preparing the way for Dr Gougeon and Dr Andriosopoulos to award the certificates and congratulate the new graduates.
It was then the turn of the part-time Executive Master in Energy Management representative, Andreas-Alexandros Eleftheriades to deliver warm speech full of pride and anecdotes about the journey he shared with fellow participants. Dr Gougeon and Dr Andriosopoulos then handed out the certificates.
The ceremony was followed by a lunch reception for the new graduates and their families.
All of us at ESCP and the Energy Management Centre would like to express our congratulations to the new MSc in Energy Management and Executive Master in Energy Management Graduates of 2013- 2014.
