ESCP Business School and its Energy Management Centre (EMC) are delighted to announce that our tenth cohort of MSc in Energy Management students recently nominated the board members of the School’s Energy Society.
Board members offer leadership for carrying out the society’s initiatives and engage ESCP students from all campuses in industry-related events, maximise networking opportunities and help them to develop professional skills through a range of activities, such as:
- Panel discussions and debates led by leading experts
- Promotion of energy-related initiatives and the latest developments in the industry
- Sharing industry-related articles and publications through social media to encourage constructive discussion among participants
- Networking events with industry professionals and our alumni community

London Journal of Energy

Project Leader: Bikram Sengupta
Overview: The London Journal of Energy is a biannual publication focused on current energy affairs. It is a collaboration between The London School of Economics, University College London, ESCP Business School, and Imperial College London, making it the largest student-for-student energy magazine in print.
COP 27 and its developments – Looking ahead with optimism and realism
When: 5 December
Project Leader: Pedro Vega Botey
Overview: COP27 marked the 30th anniversary of the integration of the United Nations Framework Convention and congregated parties to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement on the fight against Climate Change.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ Philip Christiani will discuss COP 27’s outcomes, the latest on global investments in energy infrastructure, the role of private equity and much more. Details to be announced soon. Stay tuned!

Overview: To keep up to date with the latest in the energy sector and foster knowledge sharing, the ESCP Energy Society and alumni will unite efforts and share the latest on key topics in the industry.
Networking event with ESCP’s MSc in Energy Management Alumni
When: March and June
Project Leader: Yohan Bouyer
Overview: The goal of the energy society is to expose its members to numerous professional networking opportunities. These events will gather current MEM students and alumni of the programme with the aim of providing its members opportunities to exchange valuable information and experiences, gain insights of the different working fields within energy, form professional relationships and enhance career opportunities.
Renewable Energy Facility Visits and Waste Management Site
When: Jan – June
Project Leader: Yohan Bouyer and Oliver Lockhart
Overview: The UK is already very successful at using sustainable energy. A new renewable record was set in 2020 after its share of the UK power generation rose to 43.1%. This was the first-time that renewables surpassed fossil fuels in the UK.
Our MSc in Energy Management students will visit an offshore wind farm and a waste management site during their London term. During their time in Paris, they will visit a nuclear plant. The visits will help them to gain a deep understanding of sustainability, the renewable energy business and its technological concepts. More details will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
