Speakers: HyWaves’ s Niall Haughian (CFO) and Ugo Manfredi (CTO)
The European Commission reports that hydrogen represents less than 2% of Europe’s present energy consumption. In 2020 the EU strategy on hydrogen was adopted with the aim to create a European hydrogen ecosystem from research and innovation, boost demand, and increment production and the scale of its deployment to international levels.
Niall Haughian and Ugo Manfredi, co-founders of HyWaves, a company proposing a direct-current (DC) architecture for producing green hydrogen from electrolysers connected to renewable sources, discussed:
- An overview of hydrogen in Europe and the UK – what are the current challenges and opportunities?
- How can green hydrogen make a significant contribution to the clean energy transition?
- How can the HyWaves technology cut the green hydrogen cost and improve the energy efficiency?
- What are the potential impacts of HyWaves technology in green hydrogen production from Solar PV and Wind Farms?
