The EMC at ESCP hosted a discussion on “EU-Russian Relations from the Prism of EU Law”. The event took place at ESCP's London Campus at 6:00 pm on 11th February, 2016.
Guest speaker Ana Stanič, Solicitor Advocate and an Honorary Lecturer at the Centre of Mining and Natural Resources at the University of Dundee, discussed the current issues surrounding EU/Russia relations from the prism of EU law, governments’ strategies, and various other geopolitical implications.
Ana Stanič
Ana Stanič is an English Solicitor Advocate and an Honorary Lecturer at the Centre of Mining and Natural Resources at the University of Dundee. She is the founder of E&A Law Limited, an innovative law firm which combines energy specialism with expertise in EU law, international law and arbitration and advises energy companies, states and international financial institutions on the transactional, regulatory and dispute resolution aspects of the energy sector.
Ana has advised on concession agreements to construct large energy infrastructure, privatisations of energy companies, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, host government agreements to construct pipelines as well as on issues of EU energy, competition and state aid law. She has acted as counsel in gas price review arbitrations as well as investment treaty and commercial arbitrations. She has also appeared before the European Court of Justice and regularly advises on questions of EU law. Ana has a LLM from Cambridge University, UK and a LLB and B. Commerce (Finance and Banking) from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
