Dr. Iain Bartholomew, Subsurface Director, Siccar Point Energy
Iain joined the board of the new start-up Siccar Point Energy in 2014. He is responsible for all sub-surface activity across the company.
Iain has held a number of senior positions within the oil and gas sector having worked for Shell, Oryx Energy, CASP, Hess, Pluspetrol, Venture Production and Centrica. His previous roles include: SVP Exploration and Sub-surface for Centrica, VP Exploration and Geoscience for Pluspetrol based in Argentina, VP Geoscience for Hess, MD for CASP, and International Exploration Manager for Oryx Energy.
Iain has been in the E&P industry for over 30 years and has been involved in the discovery and appraisal of over 3 billion barrels of oil equivalent in different basins of the world. He has a PhD in structural geology and an MBA.
