Ernesto BARRIOS GARCÍA-BELAUNDE

Industrial Engineer, holds an MBA and a Commercial & Marketing Master Degree. Ernesto has had an international career at Repsol for the last 20 years, through 4 countries.

He was responsible of high-sensitive supplying channels in companies involved in merges or acquisitions processes, what lead his orientation into personal and organizational development.

According to this experience, during 2011 Ernesto Barrios moved into Repsol corporate university, and is the Director of the Master in Energy Management, a 1200 hours full time programme for university graduates joining Repsol. His international experience in a global energy company focused in oil and gas, downstream and commercial operations, provides him a global view and comprehension of the key business facts and the professional development needs, in order to manage an immersion program which provides recruited and trained new professionals ready-to-join and immediately contribute on behalf of Repsol´s bottom-line.

The success with this Master, launched in January 2012, was far beyond expectations: 191 students in only 18 months, a blended version on-line, more than 800 hours filmed for 420 edited-hours on a fully-synchronized LMS platform accessible worldwide throughout Repsol´s network.

At this this moment Ernesto Barrios is starting a Doctorate on "On-Line Learning within Corporate Universities, long term immersion programmes".
